The Doctor of Education – A Transformational Leader


What does it mean to be a transformational leader? A transformational leader, taken in the context of an educational facility, is an innovative school principal who works on the general improvement of learning styles within his or her institution. But how does one become a transformational leader in his or her school? The answer lies in becoming a Doctor of Education.

A Doctor of Education is an educator, who has completed his bachelor’s, masters and doctorate degree in Education. These successive learning stages has prepared a teacher to become an analytical and critical thinker when it comes to classroom instruction as well as teaching methods to be implemented by his or her teaching staff. The successive learning stages that a doctor of education has undergone is complete with the initial information and knowledge that he or she needs to pass on as well as an in-depth understanding of the students’ and faculty members’ needs.

Being a transformational leader, the doctor of education will also focus his or her efforts towards achieving higher percentage of satisfied clients – the student population by looking into the particular teaching methods that will generate more insightful and empowered students. The doctor of education will also concentrate his or her efforts to the upliftment of the prevailing status of literacy within his or her city, by means of employing state of the art facilities and teaching staff.

A transformational leader looks into the attainment of transformation within his surroundings. This is why a Doctor of Philosophy will constantly look into the continuous improvement of education, not just within the school premises but also his or her surrounding community.

Truly, with these activities in mind, we could indeed say that a Doctor of Philosophy is a Transformational Leader.
